The Office of Transit Safety and Oversight administers a national transit safety program and program compliance oversight process. Infrastructure Investment FTA provides grants to local public transit systems, including buses, subways, light rail, commuter rail, trolleys and ferries.

WHAT IS TEA. The Transportation Equity Act for the 21 st Century, TEA, is the name given to the Federal legislation (Public Law ) which authorizes Federal highway, highway safety, transit and other surface transportation programs.
